Thoughtful Thursday – Linda Christensen on “Getting Started on Ancestry”

New to family history? Join Linda Christensen for a look at simple steps for starting your family tree. She’ll also highlight what to enter, how to enter it, and what to do next.

Linda LaFrancois Christensen grew up in Griswold and has lived in Preston for over 35 years. She has a BS in Elementary Education, an MS in Reading, and a Sixth Year degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is currently finishing up work for a genealogy certificate through the National Institute of Genealogical Studies. She taught for 25 years in the Voluntown School System, retired and began working for the Holocaust Research Center in New London. She served as president of the Preston Historical Society for 12 years and is currently the Preston Historian. At this time, she is currently engaged in digitally preserving the archived collection of the Preston Historical Society through the Connecticut League of History Organizations and their CT Collections.
