to enrich lives and build community by bringing information, ideas and people together
Stephen Lash is Chairman Emeritus of Christie’s Americas. He has been involved with many of Christie’s most important auctions, including Van Gogh’s “Portrait of Dr. Gachet”, which made $82.5 million in 1990, the Nicholas Brown desk which sold for $12.1 million, the record for an American furniture piece, and the auction of Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry collection which Stephen shared with us here several years ago.
The talk will focus on the history of their art collecting, their focus on philanthropy and the recent sale of their collection, which made the highest price for any single collection auction. This fascinating event covering a unique American family will be given by someone with the passion and involvement to tell a wonderful story.
This event is free and open to the public.
